In COD Warzone, the gas is likely one of your biggest opponents and understanding when the gas converges, how fast the circle closes, how much damage the gas inflicts, and how to survive longer in the gas is absolutely vital. New COD Warzone circle times
The update from the 28th of April introduced new circle timings. The following table shows the exact timings and total times of each phase. The first stage was shortened by 50 seconds, whereas each closing phase (except for the first) was prolongued. Thus, the gas now moves more slowly than before allowing to better outrun it in the later phases. These changes increased the total match time (until the last circle has fully collapsed) from 25 to 27 minutes. Additionally, the gulag now closes one and a half minute later than before.
How much damage in the gas
You can survive for exactly 12 seconds in the gas. The gas damage is identical in each of the following scenarios:
- With and without armor plates
- Far away from the next circle (i.e. far into the gas) and close to the next circle
- Each stage inflicts an identical amount of damage
Maximum survival time in the gas
It is possible to prologue the survival period in the gas by applying the following gadgets in the shown order:
- Gas mask
- Stim – takes 2 seconds to apply
- Self revive & stim – takes 5 plus 2 seconds to apply, respectively
- Picking up an additional 2 stims from an ammo box
A solo player can survive up to 1 minute and 28 seconds in the gas, while a full squad can be able to survive 2 minutes and 40 seconds!
How to outrun the gas in Warzone?
Finally, the following table informs about the maximum possible distance you can still outrun the collapsing gas depending on the stage and weapon used.
